Volta Region Ghana is the country’s most scenic destination, stretching from the Atlantic coast in the south to misty mountain ranges and rainforest in the north. It is home to Wli Falls, the highest waterfall in Ghana, Mount Afadjato, the country’s highest peak, and some of the most intact cultural traditions in West Africa.

Best time to visit: November to March for hiking and cultural visits, or June to September when waterfalls are at full flow.
